WP Men's Player &Princess Coach

I started playing hockey at the age of 6 and played my first mini hockey tournament at the age of 11. I knew straight away that this was the sport for me. I went to Wynberg Boys High School (WBHS) and this is where my hockey really came to life, as WBHS has a huge tradition for hockey with the big old boys names like Wayne Denne, Ian Haley both SA Mens reps and Olympians.

I made my WBHS 1st team debut at 16 (ended with 127 caps) and my hockey went from strength to strength representing my province and country in all school age groups. When I left school I represented  the WP u21 team for  two  straight years and represented the National u21 side in a Triangular series against Scotland and SA A.
I am now currently playing in both the WP Mens Indoor and Outdoor teams.

Coaching profile
I found a passion for coaching when I made the Wynberg Boys 1st team. There I was introduced to our coach Paul Revington. He opened a new door and that was the coaching one. Watching him with his passion on and off the field for coaching inspired me to go down that same path. I started coaching mini hockey and our lower u16 school teams, while still playing in the 1sts at Wynberg Boys High. After school I decided to study sports management and continued to coach at Bergvliet High School where I am still coaching today, going on my 6th year with the 1st team there.
I run the WP Princess High Performance Hockey u15 age group and I am also very involved with the Princess Dutch Clinic. I was also a u16 WP selector and was chosen to coach this years u18 WP Proteas team in the Inter Zonal IPT where we won Gold in Bloemfontein.
