Jamie Kroukamp ("Jaam-Dizzle")

Provincial & Princess Coach

I started playing hockey when I went to high school. My best friend and I played defender together and really had a big party at the back. In my final years at school I was very fortunate to have a amazing coach who really planted the love for the game in me. I could not imagine not playing hockey after school.

In Matric I hurt my back and was not allowed to play for a bit. This got me into the coaching side of things. I just could not stay away from the field. I am naturally very competitive and soon needed to learn more about the game to try and stay ahead.
I was very fortunate to meet some good friends who gave me opportunities through the years. At the moment I am the hockey professional at Wynberg Boys High School and Assistant coach of the UCT 1st team. I am head coach of the WP Boys High Performance Hockey program currently.
